Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Midwife with a passion for women's health and a commitment to providing exceptional care to join a forward-thinking and highly reputable Maternity Team at a private hospital in Sydney. It is a full-time role, working on a rotating roster with flexible working arrangements.
About the role
The registered midwife will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with key stakeholders. In this position, you will be:
* Providing comprehensive midwifery care during antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods;
* Supporting and educating new mothers about breastfeeding, newborn care, and postnatal recovery;
* Collaborating with obstetricians, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver multidisciplinary care;
* Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital policies and best practices.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Current registration with AHPRA;
* Minimum two years' relevant post registration qualifications/experience;
* Demonstrated experience working in the postnatal midwifery setting;
* Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement individualised patient-centred care;
* Demonstrated professional manner when involved in emergency situations;
* Demonstrated experience in antenatal midwifery setting (desirable);
* IBCLC (Lactation) certificate, working toward or desire to complete (desirable).

Remuneration
$42.02 - $54.21 per hour.
