They currently have a fantastic opportunity available for a supply chain planning professional to lead the forecasting and supply planning function for a key category of theirs, in the capacity of 'Demand & Supply Planner'.
About the Opportunity
The Demand & Supply Planner is a critical role responsible for ensuring that inventory availability meets future customer demand for a category of products. Key accountability includes:
The generation of a rolling demand forecast and plan over a month horizon in a seasonal and promotional-driven environment.
The generation of a corresponding supply plan to meet forecasted demand, considering complexities related to largely internationally sourced products, with long lead times.
Ensuring optimal inventory availability for a large and diverse customer base while keeping inventory holdings in line with broader company policy relating to working capital.
Optimising stock turns and minimising slow moving and obsolete stock through robust supply chain planning methodology.
Along with your team, the ongoing participation in - and development of - a critical integrated business planning process.
Skills & Experience Required
Demonstrated experience managing a category from a supply chain planning perspective in a fast paced, complex planning environment.
Demand and supply planning experience in a finished goods, import & distribution environment.
Tertiary qualifications in a related field such as Transport & Logistics Management advantageous.
