About the Position
We are currently seeking people with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic to join our team. If you enjoy problem solving, and working across different equipment and machinery we are interested in talking to you.
We are currently seeking Plant Operators for our Murwillumbah Saw-Mill, where you will be involved with a range of duties from warehousing to machine operation.
We are looking for candidates who are immediately available to pick up day shift’s Monday to Thursday from 5am.
Please note we currently have the below positions available;
- Permanent Full-time - $28.01 + Super (Monday to Thursday 5:00am - 3:15pm)
- Casual - $35.01 + Super (Covering busy periods and leave. Shifts start at 5am).
Key responsibilities
- The use of various console machinery to saw and stack timber
- General labouring and timber mill duties
- Assisting with the daily running of general operations at our Murwillumbah plant.
- Sorting and strapping timber
- Inventory management
- Keeping work area clean and focusing on health and safety
To be successful
- Previous experience within a similar role in machine operating is desirable
- A positive attitude whilst being reliable and punctual
- A strong commitment to safety
- Knowledge of the timber industry is highly advantageous
- Be physically fit and able to manually handle various size timber sections
- Previous experience with manual handling work
- The ability to work effectively within a team environment
