The Role
As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT environments. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain the ticketing system, ensuring issues are logged, assigned, and resolved in a timely manner
* Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to customers
* Perform hardware installations and repairs for contracted clients
* Monitor backup systems and conduct regular testing
* Manage server and desktop patching to ensure systems remain up to date
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues efficiently
* Escalate unresolved issues to internal teams in accordance with standard procedures
Essential Skills and Experience
* Strong experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11 environments
* Proven experience managing and supporting Microsoft 365 solutions
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in an MSP helpdesk environment
* Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Strong troubleshooting, time management, and organisational skills
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
* Availability to work after hours when required
* Valid driver's licence
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Microsoft certifications
* Firewall certifications and experience with leading firewall platforms
* Technical expertise across Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking
* Experience with WAN/LAN environments, routing, and remote access solutions
