Position Details

This organisation has been providing culturally competent allied health, aged care, mental health, and wellbeing services for over 30 years, servicing more than 50 remote and rural Queensland communities. They are a vibrant not-for-profit organisation with strong community connections and a commitment to supporting healthier people.

Location: Longreach, Queensland (based in Longreach office).

Employment Type: Permanent – Full-Time.

Practice Information: Based in our Longreach office, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team of allied health professionals to deliver holistic, client-focused care. This is not your typical private practice role; you’ll enjoy flexibility, a varied caseload, and the chance to see the long-term outcomes of your work in the community.

Key Responsibilities

- Help clients participate more fully in daily life and community activities

- Conduct functional assessments and develop tailored treatment plans

- Recommend and implement environmental modifications and assistive technology

- Provide education and guidance to families, carers, teachers, and employers

- Deliver early childhood supports and promote healthy living initiatives

- Work collaboratively with other disciplines to achieve the best outcomes for clients

Qualifications & Experience

Applications from both graduates and experienced OTs are welcomed.

Essential Requirements

- Degree in Occupational Therapy

- Registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA

- Current, unrestricted ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence (manual preferred)

- The right to live and work in Australia

Desirable

- Willingness to travel by road and/or small planes to outreach communities

- An interest in rural and remote health care delivery
