The Opportunity:
This is an office based inbound sales role, reporting to the Head of Commercial and working closely with a senior Inbound Sales Manager. You’ll be speaking daily with Head Chefs, Sous Chefs and key purchasing decision makers whilst building relationships, identifying sales opportunities and managing existing company accounts. This is a KPI driven role within a supportive and established team environment.
The Candidate:
This role is ideal for someone from a hospitality or meat background looking to transition into sales. We're open to candidates who are developing their sales skills but strong in foodservice and meat knowledge as training and mentoring will be provided.
You may be:
* An ex-Chef or Sous Chef ready to step off the tools.
* An ex-Butcher confident in cold calling and taking orders.
* A foodservice professional experienced in dealing with Chefs.
To be successful, you will have:
* Someone with strong customer service or call centre experience.
* Excellent phone manner and confidence speaking with Chefs.
* Strong relationship building ability and likeable character.
* Commercial awareness and willingness to learn sales.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* Strong computer literacy. MS Office is essential.
* Full Australian working rights. No sponsorship available sorry.
* Meat product knowledge is essential and a non negotiable.
The Role:
* Managing and growing an existing customer base.
* Handling inbound and web enquiries.
* Identifying new line growth opportunities.
* Generating quotes and processing orders.
* Analysing sales and margin reports.
* Maintaining CRM and customer data.
* Working closely with warehouse and sales teams.
The Offer:
This is an opportunity to move into a stable, weekday role with no nights or weekend shifts, finishing at 4pm each day. You’ll join a respected national business with genuine long term career prospects, working alongside experienced commercial leaders who will mentor and develop you in sales. This will be your pathway into an on the road sales role. On offer is a salary from $75,000-$95,000 depending on your sales acumen and experience.
