Join our team at Ventia, one of the largest infrastructure service providers in Australia and New Zealand, in the capacity of Finance Manager with our WA Transport division. Based at our East Perth office, this is a full-time role and will be reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager. As the Finance Manager, you will be a key business partner to the operational leaders, successfully informing and driving business performance.
Main areas of responsibility
This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting processes, as well as providing insight to support and drive operational management and robust decision making.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Ownership for all financial processes and transactional data, with a view to continuous improvement
2. Completion of month end processes including accurate and timely cost & revenue allocation
3. Financial reporting, variance, and operational analysis to meet Ventia, project and client reporting requirements.
4. Prepare budgeting and forecasting requirements, inclusive of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
5. R&O reporting to highlight risks and opportunities, promoting transparency and driving action
6. Maintain detailed knowledge of financial aspects of contracts & sub-contracts within the portfolio; including application of various commercial arrangements and models.
7. Proactive involvement in and review of financial aspects of the tendering process
8. Driving the risk and SHEQ performance within the Project / Business Unit

Requirements
1. 5+ years experience in Project finance roles, ideally in civil infrastructure construction industry
2. Relevant Degree in Accounting
3. CPA or CA professional qualification
4. Advanced working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP is desirable.
5. Experience in Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 applications
6. Ability to work flexibility in a fast paced environment, with complex data and multiple inputs
7. High level of attention to detail/accuracy
8. Ability to work independently as well as part of the team.
9. Methodical and analytical understanding of the story behind the numbers
10. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels and across divisions
