We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, VIC.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will manage allocated projects to ensure zero harm, quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This position will direct the performance of work, resources, and activities on site, reporting to the VIC Remedial Construction Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, review, and manage projects, encompassing all elements of project delivery including OH&S, Quality & Environment, Cost control and client/consultant relationships.
* Proactive site leadership and management of safety performance, standards, and risk.
* Quality management on a day-to-day basis, development of quality procedures according to project specification and Australian Standards, implementation on site, design review, and updates.
* Provide technical advice with problem-solving skills.
* Establish and maintain project cost control, inclusive of labour utilization and efficiency.
* Build effective relationships with clients and manage day-to-day interactions.
* Accurate preparation of monthly reporting, progress claims, and sub-contractor statements.
* Procurement and management of sub-contractors and material suppliers.
* Administration of contracts, management of commercial risk in accordance with the DOA.
Requirements
* Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
* Minimum 3-5 years' Project or Site Engineer experience in the civil/construction industry.
* Remedial or Concrete/Steel repair & re-strengthening experience (Preferred).
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
