Role Overview
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this newly vacated and established role plays a critical part in supporting group-wide financial reporting, compliance, and consolidation activities. You will work across multiple operating entities, assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting while also contributing to process improvement, systems optimisation, and integration of newly acquired businesses.
This role is well suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys working in a dynamic, acquisitive environment and is motivated by continuous improvement, growth, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
* Support group-level financial reporting, consolidations, and statutory compliance
* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual journals and reconciliations
* Assist with audit coordination, financial statements, and year-end processes
* Contribute to acquisition accounting and onboarding of newly acquired entities
* Support the development and implementation of sustainability reporting
* Maintain and improve group consolidation models and reporting frameworks
* Partner with regional finance teams to ensure consistent and accurate reporting
* Identify and drive process, system, and workflow improvements
* Support compliance requirements including payment times reporting
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors
Candidate Profile
As an ideal candidate you are a driven and technically capable accountant who thrives in a complex environment. You bring a strong grounding in accounting standards, a passion for improvement, and the confidence to work autonomously while collaborating with a broad stakeholder group.
Experience & skills required:
* CA or CPA qualification (mandatory)
* Strong technical accounting experience and sound knowledge of AASB
* Proven experience preparing or supporting financial statements and consolidations
* Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude
* Experience working across multiple entities or in a group environment
* High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across the business
* Experience in an acquisitive, private equity, or fast-growth environment will be highly regarded.
