The Role
The position provides high quality and culturally appropriate home and property maintenance to clients, programs, members and occasionally paying customers. The role undertakes mowing of lawns and gardening with rare occasional building maintenance and repair as required. All gardening will be under supervision of a Team Leader and any building maintenance will be under supervision of a qualified builder.
Follow job schedule and attend jobs as scheduled on time
* General garden maintenance
* Lawn mowing/edging/whipper snipper
* Trimming trees & hedges
* Pest and weed control
* Rubbish removal and general yard tidy
* Providing other support as required to the Lawns and Gardens Team Leader
* Very rarely but occasionally assisting building crew with building repairs, maintenance, painting, nailing, drilling, assembling materials under supervision of builders
* Recording and completing tasks in MYP
* Monitor equipment and reporting of required maintenance of equipment to team leader
* Maintain vehicle logbook and equipment register as required
* Attend staff and team meetings as required
* Comply with the standard of a child safe organisation in both practice and culture
* Working from different sites as required
* Other duties as lawfully and reasonably directed and within the scope of the position, and within the requirements of the organisation
* Commitment and contribution to Quality Improvement Activities
* Work in a manner that observes Occupational Health & Safety legislation
