There are currently two (2) permanent full-time opportunities available.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
This position provides supervision and quality assurance of briefs prepared by the Prosecution Services Division and assists Investigating Officers, prosecutors and solicitors as required.
SPECIALIST PRE-REQUISITES
• Holds and maintains a NEGATIVE VETTING LEVEL 2 security clearance for the duration of the appointment.
• Only Australian Citizens are eligible; applicants must be in process of applying for citizenship and eligible before appointment.
• Undergoes a psychological assessment and agrees to periodic assessments as required.

Applicants are required to address the following nominated work-related requirements (no more than 3 pages, Arial 11, justified edges):
Ability in the interpretation and application of legislation and the justice system – Interpreting and applying legislation including the Criminal Investigations Act **** and the Criminal Procedures Act ****, understanding civil law discovery and Western Australia Court jurisdiction procedures.
Analytical and conceptual skills – Conceptualising and analysing issues to provide advice and recommendations, managing disclosure decisions, problem solving, and ensuring compliance of processes.
Supervisory skills – Supervising a team to manage workload and deliver high quality service, providing advice, setting priorities, training and staff development.
Applicants must also submit a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (no more than 4 pages).
The CV should include dot points of relevant skills, experience and qualifications, and the names and contact details of two referees.
At least one referee should be a current supervisor/manager.
