Coordinating Support for NDIS Participants


About The Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and independence. As an NDIS Support Coordinator, you will assess the needs of participants, identify necessary services and supports, and coordinate their care.

* Build strong relationships with participants, their families, and external service providers
* Drive as required to visit participants
* Help participants negotiate with service providers about what they can offer and understand the costs associated with their services
* Work with billable hours and targets
* Ensure service agreements are completed
* Take a holistic approach to capacity building and help participants overcome barriers


What You Will Bring To This Role

* Previous experience working with the NDIS and a thorough understanding of NDIS plans and budgets
* Experience with billing targets and case noting
* High-level administration skills, including compliance capabilities and IT skills - particularly with Excel
* A true people person, preferably with demonstrated disability sector experience and the ability to motivate and build rapport with participants, their families, and service providers
* A business mindset and a customer service focus
* Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with high-level organisation skills

Key Requirements:

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
* Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

* Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, or a related field
* Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as children or older adults
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including the NDIS Act and Code of Conduct
