This role is a Production & Warehouse Assistant Lead position, supporting the Production & Warehouse Lead in the coordination of daily production and warehouse operations. It is ideal for someone seeking to develop supervisory experience, step into a leadership role, and progressively take responsibility for overseeing staff, workflow, and shift operations. The role will provide relief supervision as required and is intended as a clear pathway into a supervisor position.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Support and coordinate daily production activities in line with work instructions, quality standards, and safety requirementsOperate and oversee production equipment, including batching, blending, packaging, and associated machinery, ensuring efficient and accurate outputPrepare and handle raw materials in accordance with formulation specifications, maintaining strong attention to detail and product complianceProvide on-the-floor leadership and guidance to production and warehouse staff during allocated shiftsSupport and, where required, oversee receival, storage, and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring documentation and checks are completed accuratelyCarry out basic operator and preventative maintenance tasks, and promptly escalate equipment faults, safety issues, or quality concernsAssist with warehouse coordination, including stock organisation, inventory checks, and participation in stocktakesAct as a point of escalation and provide relief supervision in the absence of the Production & Warehouse Lead
Skills & Experiences
Proven experience in a production, manufacturing, stock feed, or warehouse environmentPhysically capable of manual handling (20–25kg bags) and working in an active production settingValid, current Australian Forklift Licence (required)Current Australian Driver’s LicenceStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality standardsAbility to work with a high level of autonomy and adapt to changing operational prioritiesClear communication skills and the confidence to guide others on the floorBasic computer and documentation skills, including completing production records and checklistsMechanical aptitude with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and escalate equipment or process issuesStrong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices
