Transport Operations Manager
The successful candidate will oversee and lead the daily activities of a team, ensuring efficient execution of tasks and high-quality outcomes.
* Leads and manages a team of drivers and operators.
* Directs transport operations including water cart management, road maintenance, and equipment mobilization.
* Develops accurate operational plans for labour, materials, freight, and machinery requirements.
* Manages rosters, scheduling, and timesheet reconciliation to optimize team performance.
* Drives a culture of safety by conducting risk assessments, inspections, and compliance checks.
* Identifies mechanical issues and forecasts maintenance needs to minimize downtime.
* Maintains adherence to fatigue management laws and site standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead a team of 30-40 personnel in achieving daily objectives.
2. Oversee water cart operations, road maintenance, and equipment deployment.
3. Prepare detailed operational plans, incorporating labour, material, and equipment requirements.
4. Manage rostering, scheduling, and payroll processes to ensure optimal team performance.
5. Foster a strong safety culture through regular risk assessments, inspections, and compliance checks.
6. Monitor mechanical issues and plan maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
7. Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
