We are seeking a qualified or experienced Baker to join our dedicated team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll prepare and bake a variety of bread, rolls, and other bakery products while ensuring consistency, quality, and freshness.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing, mixing, kneading, moulding, and baking bread and other bakery products
- Regulating oven temperatures and baking times
- Applying glazes, icings, and other finishes where required
- Maintaining stock levels of ingredients and materials
- Cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment and work areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Ensuring quality control and product consistency
- Training or supervising apprentices and junior bakery staff (for experienced bakers)
- Working collaboratively as part of a fast‑paced production team
Skills and Experience
- Certificate III in Baking (or equivalent qualification/experience)
- Previous commercial baking experience preferred (apprenticeships available for suitable candidates)
- Robust understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as rostered
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a team‑oriented mindset
