Our client, a leading organization in the healthcare sector, is seeking a skilled Cisco Network Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves working with advanced Cisco network infrastructures to support critical healthcare applications and services.
An initial 6‐month contract with the potential for extension, available for an immediate start.
Location
* This role is based in Orange, NSW, with an onsite presence required and flexibility to travel to other regional NSW offices.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cisco Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network solutions that ensure high availability and security. You will collaborate with cross‐functional teams to deliver network projects that enhance the client's healthcare delivery capabilities.
* Handle day‐to‐day operational tasks, including installing and configuring network components.
* Perform patching and maintenance activities as required.
* Manage incident and service request tickets efficiently through the ServiceNow system, working issues through to resolution.
* Collaborate closely with the existing team to ensure seamless network functionality and reliability.
Required Skills
* Proven experience as a senior network engineer with a strong focus on Cisco technologies.
* Hands‐on expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining network components.
* Ability and willingness to travel regularly to site locations with potential overnight stays.
* Experience using IT service management tools such as ServiceNow.
* Strong problem‐solving skills to handle incidents and service requests through to resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Cisco Call Manager.
* Background working within healthcare or similar regulated environments will be advantageous.
