An exciting opportunity with a reputable Australian-owned leader in their field awaits you! They are looking to hire an experienced payroll manager (standalone) to take full control of the payroll function. This business is open to hearing from candidates looking to work 4 or 5 days per week. This is an office based position located in South Melbourne 3205.
The payroll officer will be responsible for:
* Managing end-to-end fortnightly payroll for 180 employees
* Processing new starters, terminations, and redundancies
* Interpretation of award conditions, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations
* Managing the payroll inbox, responding to queries and resolving issues effectively
* Processing payroll tax, payg and super payments
* Processing workcover payments on an ad hoc basis if needed
* Processing employee salary sacrifice contributions
* Managing end-of-month and end-of-year activities
The successful candidate will have:
* End to end payroll experience is essential
* Strong payroll systems experience, ichris is preferred
* The ability to manage their time effectively and ensure deadlines are hit
* Strong attention to detail
* Advanced understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
