Your opportunity
As the Retail Design & Tenancy Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design and tenancy fit-out phases of retail, office and development projects across AM portfolio, ensuring that branding standards are met and that our Retail Partners achieve a timely and successful store opening. The role involves close collaboration with Retailers, contractors, architects, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality retail environment.
Your responsibilities will include
* Lead the design review process for incoming Retailer shop drawings and plans, ensuring they meet the brand's retail design criteria and standards. (refer to RDM PD)
* Manage the coordination between tenants and construction teams, ensuring a smooth handover and fit-out process within designated timelines.
* Ensure all tenant designs comply with the relevant codes, regulations, and sustainability requirements.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
* Serve as the primary liaison between tenants, landlords, and external consultants to facilitate effective communication and project execution.
* Coordinate with leasing, operations, and marketing teams for the alignment of design and delivery strategies with company goals.
* Oversee the quality control of construction and fit-out work and address any discrepancies or delays.
* Negotiate and manage contract agreements with architects, contractors, and other service providers.
* Ensure that all projects are delivered within budget and time constraints.
* Conduct regular site visits and meetings to monitor progress and resolve any issues promptly.
Your point of difference
* Previous experience in the retail industry in a similar role hybrid role
* 5+ years of retail design, tenancy delivery, construction project management experience.
* Knowledge of retail industry standards, store planning, materials, and specifications.
* High level of IT proficiency and design software e.g. Microsoft Office package, Adobe and project management tools
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with attention to detail, influencing, presentation and negotiation
* Demonstrated experience working with design documentation
* Proven track record of managing multiple retail design and delivery projects simultaneously.
* Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to solve problems, improve system and procedural efficiency and effectiveness, and resolve issues as they arise.
* A customer-centric focus with a strong understanding of the local community and trade area.
* Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
