The Animal Hospital in Kalgoorlie is looking to employ a part time receptionist who is available to work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 noon to 6 pm, Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and a rotating rostered on Saturday morning from 7:30 am to 12 noon, usually every 4th Saturday.
Applicants must have completed Year 12 education as a minimum requirement.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
The applicant must be able to handle dogs, cats and a variety of other animals and be able to work happily in what can be a very busy reception. They will be working with another receptionist and must be able to work in a team with the the other receptionists, the veterinarians and the nurses.
Candidates must be physically capable of safely handling animals of all sizes.
Tasks include greeting and assisting clients, answering phones, booking appointments, triaging patients, taking payments, merchandising, cleaning of floors, benches and windows and end of day reconciliation.
General computer skills are required for managing appointment bookings and processing payments.
Training will be provided for computer skills required for appointment management and payment processing.
Previous veterinary experience would be helpful but not essential. Being able to get on with people and animals is
