Role Overview
The SAP Payroll Application Specialist will be part of the enterprise application support team, providing functional expertise, system configuration, and payroll solution enhancements. This role supports SAP HCM and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) for the Philippines, ensuring compliance, system stability, and continuous improvement.
You will act as a subject matter expert for payroll operations, integrations, and statutory compliance, working closely with HR, payroll, and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide application support and solution enhancements for
SAP HCM Payroll Philippines
and
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
.
* Lead payroll implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and major enhancement programs.
* Partner with HRIS, payroll, and benefits teams to translate business needs into system solutions.
* Troubleshoot production issues and implement configuration or technical fixes.
* Support end-of-year processes including
HR legal changes and patching
.
* Manage payroll schema, rules, and configuration changes based on regulatory updates.
* Coordinate payroll integrations with third-party systems and internal platforms.
* Drive compliance with
Philippines labor laws, tax, and statutory requirements
.
* Perform data replication monitoring between Employee Central and ECP.
* Participate in testing cycles, payroll reconciliation, and audit support.
Functional & Technical Expertise
* Strong hands-on experience in
SAP HCM Payroll – Philippines
and
SuccessFactors ECP
.
* Experience across
2–3 full lifecycle payroll implementations
.
* Expertise in
payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, evaluation and processing classes
.
* Proven exposure to
S/4HANA payroll environments
.
* Configuration and management of
Payroll Control Center (PCC)
, including custom alerts and processes.
* Strong understanding of
concurrent employment
functionality.
* Knowledge of
ABAP
for payroll-related enhancements and reports.
Employee Central Payroll & Integration Skills
* Activate and configure
Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
via provisioning.
* Implement
Point-to-Point (P2P)
integration between EC and ECP.
* Configure
Bi-directional (BIB)
integration between EC and S/4HANA.
* Set up
SAML2 / SSO
between EC and ECP.
* Manage
CPI-based integrations
.
* Configure
Process IDs, policies, and custom PCC alerts
.
* Create
off-cycle payroll processes
, step templates, and workflows.
* Execute data replication for employee, time, and payroll-relevant data (WSR, overtime, absences).
Compliance & Localization
* Deep knowledge of
Philippines payroll legislation and statutory compliance
.
* Configure local tax calculations, social insurance, and government reporting.
* Maintain country-specific fields, business rules, and payroll localization settings.
* Ensure payroll systems align with evolving regulatory requirements.
