Job Summary
We are seeking a professional to join our team as a Senior Injury Management and Psychosocial Wellbeing Adviser. In this role, you will provide expert guidance on injury management, psychosocial hazards and risks and wellbeing advice and services to staff and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide expert guidance on injury management, psychosocial hazards and risks and wellbeing advice and services to staff and external stakeholders.
* Triage and respond to reports of psychosocial hazards and risks within the workplace and other mental illness or behaviours that can cause psychosocial harm.
* Operate as the first point of contact for staff who wish to talk to someone about a concern or complaint they have that is affecting their ability to undertake their work.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including University Management, Deans, Directors, AVPs, and Campus Coordinators, fostering strong, positive relationships.
* Advise on psychosocial risk assessments to manage psychosocial hazards and risks associated with operations and activities.
Key Requirements
* A relevant degree with at least four years subsequent relevant experience.
* SIGNIFICANT experience or specialist knowledge of trauma informed practice and psychosocial safety.
* Comprehensive understanding of applicable legislation and codes of practice relating to mental health, psychosocial safety and wellbeing, and how to apply in a setting.
* Demonstrated experience in health promotion, early intervention, and education of professional and/or teaching staff.
* Well-developed understanding of and ability to apply relevant Workers' Compensation legislation for all Australian states.
