Just Better Care Eastern Suburbs is looking for a passionate Clinical Support Worker to join our caring and dynamic team.
We provide in-home disability and aged care services, supporting people to live independently and with dignity.
We operate four key areas in the Sydney Metro region: Eastern Suburbs, Inner West, Sutherland, and St George.
About the Role
This role involves working directly with customers, supporting them in various aspects of daily living while respecting their independence, dignity, and safety.
You will be providing assistance to customers with physical, mental, emotional, and social disabilities in their homes and communities.
Main Duties
Assisting clients with personal care needs such as showering, dressing, and eating.
Assisting clients with mobility and communication needs.
Participating in the planning of individual care.
Following therapy plans such as interventions for dementia and behavioural problems.
Observing and reporting changes in client condition, and reporting complaints about care.
Assisting with rehabilitation exercises, basic treatment, and delivery of medications.
Providing direct support and assistance to therapists.
Delivering personalised support and resources so clients may continue to live in their homes.
Performing duties under the guidance and supervision of medical professionals, monitoring and communicating client condition to the coordinator, providing transportation, light domestic duties, personal hygiene, and delivering meals and other health and wellness activities.
Demonstrating a commitment to best practice, ensuring all services are provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with Just Better Care's policy and procedures.
Essential Requirements
AQF Certificate II or III (ANZSCO Skill Level 4) – or at least one year of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
Experience in high-care areas such as spinal cord injury, palliative care, mental health support, catheter care, or epilepsy/seizure management.
Previous experience with manual handling and various assistive equipment.
Registration or licensing may be required.
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and a current criminal record check.
First Aid certificate/CPR.
Current Australian driver's licence, reliable registered and insured vehicle, smartphone with internet access.
Working Rights
Proof of working rights in Australia (birth certificate, citizenship certificate, passport, or visa).
Ability to be reliably contacted via telephone and email.
