You will work with the latest medical imaging equipment, in world-class facilities and with experts in their field.About the roleWe have limited Cairns-based Trainee Sonographer roles on offer and this is an opportunity to access this highly competitive training program and experience the advantages of regional work. Cairns region can offer an accelerated career pathway with access to obs/gynae/high-end breast work/paediatrics/vascular and general imaging in both a community and hospital setting.Your training program will be structured to see you rotate through multiple medical imaging practices within Brisbane for the first 6 months - both hospital departments and community-based settings to allow for the best possible exposure to a wide variety of patient studies. There is also a commitment to a weekend shift roster at our hospital sites.All roles will be offered on paid, full-time basis for the duration of the 2-year post-graduate coursework, and for a minimum 3-year, full-time commitment to the Cairns region post-qualification.You will be trained by highly skilled, experienced sonographers with an industry reputation for providing an exceptional, fully comprehensive experience. The role requires the successful candidate to hold a Bachelor of Medical Imaging (or equivalent) for entry into the program and have at least one year of experience post-graduation.The application process includes successful completion of a 30-minute examination and interview.
