GBK is the peak body supporting Prescribed Bodies Corporate (PBCs) and Native Title holders across the Torres and Endeavour Straits region. We work with PBCs and partners to strengthen governance, build organisational capability and support sustainable economic and social outcomes.
We're looking for an experienced, values-driven General Manager People & Capability to provide executive leadership across workforce strategy, people governance and organisational capability.
The role
Reporting to the Executive Chairperson and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead GBK's workforce and people strategy, strengthen consistent people practices across departments, and ensure compliant, culturally safe and high-quality HR support across the organisation. This role includes industrial relations leadership (including enterprise bargaining), performance and remuneration governance, and oversight of safe reporting and investigation systems.
About you
You're a senior HR leader who can operate at enterprise level and partner confidently with executives and managers. You bring strong industrial relations capability, sound judgement, and the ability to build practical systems that lift leadership practice, organisational culture and compliance.
