About the Role
This is a hands-on role where you work closely with your team mates to assemble pre-fabricated timber building frames and trusses ready for dispatch to building sites across the district. You will have the opportunity to liaise with our in-house design team to build quality products for our customers. You will enjoy the drive to meet production targets and celebrate the wins with your team-mates.
Your day to day will typically include;
* Read and interpret job plans, cutting lists and truss/frame layouts
* Accurately cut timber using docking saws, drop saws, and automated cutting systems, ensuring all components are cut to correct dimensions and within tolerances
* Assemble frames and trusses
* Maintain equipment in safe working condition
* Work closely with other team members to meet daily production targets
* Be an active participant in a positive safety culture that really cares for your physical and mental wellbeing
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who's positive, detail-oriented, and ready to get stuck in. A positive work ethic, good communication skills and a commitment to safety are key. This is a good opportunity for someone seeking to make a start in the industry or continue to build on previous experience.
Ideally we'd love to see:
* Previous experience in timber, truss or frame
* Confidence using hand and power tools, especially saws
* Ability to read and follow measurements and technical drawings
* Good physical fitness and the ability to handle manual tasks
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A proactive, can-do attitude and commitment to workplace safety
