About the Role
The Digital Analyst plays a critical role in keeping Barwon Water’s enterprise architecture practical, usable and decision-ready. You’ll support the architecture practice day to day - helping ensure the tools, data and governance that underpin technology decisions work in practice.
You’ll help maintain and evolve Barwon Water’s architecture platform, including understanding how architecture data has been built, used and needs to remain usable through change. You’ll support architects by translating complex information into accessible insights, and ensure that guardrails, reference models and governance processes clear, current and enabling rather than bureaucratic.
A key part of the role is supporting informed investment. You’ll use architecture data to review business cases and investment proposals, help prepare and manage digital governance, and ensure architectural decisions are clearly documented, communicated and actionable - so strategy, funding and delivery stay aligned.
Throughout all of it, you will actively use AI tools to augment the role, work alongside the Chief Architect, Business Architecture and Digital Strategy leaders - people who are serious about sharing what they know and investing in the capability of the people around them.
This is a 2 year maximum term contract until June 2028.
* Position Description
About you
You’ll bring a genuine interest in how good architecture supports good decisions. You’re comfortable working with complex information sets, understanding how systems, tools and data fit together, and spotting where clarity or rigour is needed to keep things usable over time.
Your experience in digital, systems or business analysis will be key to your success, combining with curiosity about enterprise architecture - what it is, how it’s used, and how governance can enable rather than slow down delivery. You’re confident working with data to support architectural thinking, investment decisions and review processes, and you’re not afraid to get into the detail when it matters.
Most importantly, you’re collaborative and practical. You communicate clearly, build trusted relationships with architects and delivery teams, taking pride in producing analysis and governance outputs of high quality. You care about doing work that helps the organisation make smarter, future-focused decisions.
