What's the role?The Creative department at Sky News is on the hunt for a Creative Content Producer. We are looking for someone who would be committed to becoming a multi-skilled creative producer to contribute to campaigns across all mediums. This role engages in the production of on-air/online promotions and graphics from concept to transmission, multi-phased on air campaigns for documentaries and major events, production management and art direction across multi-platform marketing campaigns that include print production, radio promotions and social media and digital deliverables.At the end of 2025, Sky News Australia will be relocating to brand new, state of the art, city-based offices and studios. The studios themselves will be some of the best in the country and the office space is incredibly modern, not to mention convenient in the bustling hub of Surry Hills, nestled between eateries, great coffee, and fitness options. Central station is one street away and the hours for this department are a convenient 9am-5pm with the option to time shift by an hour either side to suit any out of work commitments. Our team culture is friendly, flexible, and understanding of individual circumstances whilst maintaining the solid work ethic that a news environment requires.Key ResponsibilitiesUnder guidance from your seniors, you will take on developing, creating and managing long and short-term production promotions from kick-off to delivery for broadcast, web, print, social, out-of-home, radio, cinema, and emerging new media.Monitor social and digital video trends and apply this when appropriate to your work for the digital department.You will contribute elements to launch campaigns to promote key shows and new series, key channel events and seasonal promotions.Basic script writing ability.Ensuring Promos are produced within pre-determined timeframes and according to Sky News creative and quality standards.Concept and creatively brief motion designers and graphic designers on your idea.Self-manage own timelines and deadlines.Adapt to frequent change and uncertainty that is inherent to a news environment.Contribute and pitch ideas to your seniors for multi-phase promo campaigns for key channel events.Collaborating with news, graphics, marketing and commercial teams to develop and execute concepts, storyboards, briefs, scripts and content for all mediums required.Working with all producers, designers, creative directors and stakeholders to produce content for all platforms.Who are you?1-2 years of creative experience in broadcast, or a digital agency, coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications.Ability to present creative work for pitches to superiors.Solid writing skills (grammar, spelling and vocabulary) and verbal communication.Willingness and ability to script engaging concepts.Professional attitude to feedback and creative changes.Ability to embrace an environment where tasks can frequently change due to news events and external impacts.Experience on set running live action shoots an advantage but not essential.Ability to envision creative ways to leverage online ideas and adapt to new technologies, emerging digital media content trends and marketing tools in order to contribute content ideas for social media and digital platforms.Editing ability and speed across current industry standard software (Premiere Pro, AVID, After Effects).Please add your portfolio or link to your portfolio in your applicationNews BenefitsNews Benefits is our way of saying thank you to our people for their valued contribution to News, our audiences, clients and communities.
