And our customers experience one Avenue.Do good - we’re fair, ethical and transparent, we respect and bring out the best in others.Explore every avenue – curious, insightful, and adaptable, we’re always looking to find a better way.Position Purpose and OverviewDriving new business and achieving sales and revenue targets, the Business Development Manager works with all members of the commercial property ecosystem to drive growth, identify new opportunities, and exceed their performance objectives, while delivering an outstanding customer, beneficiary and partner experience.Examples of Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and grow referrals and strategic partnerships to drive product acceptance and achieve sales and revenue targets.Develop and grow referral partnerships with third-party distributors including leasing agents, tenant advisors, landlords and brokers.Educate all members of the commercial property ecosystem on how Avenue’s bank guarantee helps their customers to achieve their commercial objectives, and how the product also benefits all members of the commercial property ecosystem.Consistent lead generation and delivering an exceptional origination experience for Avenue’s customers, beneficiaries and partners.Engage with prospective customers and partners at the right time in the right channels using qualitative and quantitative data sources.Effectively embed Avenue’s tone of voice throughout the sales and service process, contributing to building Avenue’s brand equity in market resulting in a consistent flow of new business origination.Work collaboratively with customer service and operations, risk and compliance to ensure regulatory requirements are met, and Avenue achieves its commercial objectives.Organisational RequirementsAdhere to Avenue Bank’s Code of Conduct and all relevant policies and procedures.Perform and complete necessary training and compliance related activities.Manage sales and customer service risks to keep Avenue and its customers safe.Maintain our high-performance culture, interrogate assumptions, and demonstrate a growth mindset.Key Skills & ExperienceProven track record as a true sales hunter with a strong focus on new business development.Confident working to manage the sales pipeline from prospecting through to close.5+ years experience in commercial real estate leasing, sales or development required.Competent in using and maintaining CRM systems with attention to data accuracy and integrity.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and drive sustainable business growth.Experience working with SME clients and a clear understanding of their business drivers.Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks, interpret data, and make informed decisions.Previous experience in banking or financial services will be highly regardedThrive in a fast-paced, start-up style environment where agility and adaptability are key.Natural problem-solver who can think on their feet and navigate ambiguity with confidence.Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for building a strategic distribution function from the ground up.Motivated by challenge and driven to deliver measurable outcomes, with a desire for recognition and reward tied to performance.Seniority levelSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionJob functionBusiness Development and SalesIndustriesBankingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Avenue Bank by 2xSign in to set job alerts for “Business Development Manager” roles.New Business Development Manager, Small Medium Business -
