**The Company**
Our client specialises in the manufacture and distribution of medical therapeutic products and are going through a stage of significant growth. The company is well capitalised, has an ambitious team and is currently embarking on rolling out a plan that will establish itself as a leader across Australia. They are now looking for a General Manager for their Distribution Operations that will be sat at their head office in Varsity Lakes.
**The Role**
Reporting into the Chief Revenue Officer, the General Manager of Distribution will play a pivotal role in leading the overall distribution strategy nationally and manage various teams responsible for procurement, supply chain, quality assurance, and distribution centre operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution strategy.
- Assume full responsibility for the portfolio budget and forecasts, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Drive business growth through the expansion of supply partnerships, optimizing import and export operations.
- Set up and manage new high-tech, high capacity, warehouses.
- Conduct feasibility and cost benefit analysis for the implementation of new warehouse management systems to improve capacity, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the national logistics network, optimizing transportation and distribution processes to improve service levels and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with regional managers and third-party logistics providers to implement network improvements.
- Accountable for the people management of your team including productivity and performance management, resource capacity and utilisation management, onboarding, and training, etc.
- Provide autonomy, mastery and purpose to team members to support a culture of continual improvement and retention.
**Skills & Experience**

Key skills include:
- Proven expereince within a senior leadership position across the Supply Chain / Logistics / Distribution field is required
- Expereince within the Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, FMCG, or Healthcare industry is highly desirable
- Significant experience in leading diverse, high performing teams
- Demonstrated expertise in leveraging technology and data analytics to optimize operations and decision-making
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets and driving business growth
- Proven ability to expand supply partnerships and optimize import/export operations
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
