The role of a Systems Hardware Designer involves contributing to the full lifecycle of deployed mission systems, from design and testing to compliance and release. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders to deliver robust, secure capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Apply agile methodologies to develop a Defensive Cyber Operations Suite
* Manage the product lifecycle for deployed mission systems
* Build, configure, and test complex IT systems for release
* Design schematics, layouts, and specifications for hardware components
* Ensure hardware performance and compliance with standards
* Produce and review technical documentation: SOP, HLD, DLD, SAD, SOD
* Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and manage risks
* Maintain accurate reports and records aligned with project milestones
* Operate within ICT and cybersecurity governance frameworks
Qualifications and Skills
* Linux OS automation and administration
* Hardware testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
* Communications systems, sensors, and telecom networks
* Cyber operations and toolsets
* ISM compliance for hardware configuration
* WHS compliance and safety practices
* IT and/or cyber security domain expertise
* Windows OS automation using PowerShell
* Experience in air-gapped environments
* Networking: routing, switching, firewalls
* Medium to large-scale IT project experience
* Prior experience with government projects
* Ability to obtain a Positive Vetting (PV) clearance is desirable
