About the role
We are currently recruiting a Site Engineer to join the delivery team on the ground as initial construction works and planning commences. As a Site Engineer, you will support site management teams by coordinating and monitoring activities, resolving issues, providing quality assurance, producing reports, providing technical direction and managing contracts.
You will work closely and act as a conduit between the Project Management team and external parties, to achieve successful and on‐time project delivery.
What you'll be doing
* Provide overall support to the project team, including assistance with design, liaising with Architects and other consultants, and following up RFIs.
* Work with Site Managers and Supervisors to ensure RFI outcomes and information are transferred to site teams.
* Conduct site inspections, ensuring issues raised are corrected and incorporated on site, and actively participate in weekly meetings and work with the Project and Site Managers to ensure the closure of meeting actions.
* Manage and administer the client and their representatives in a manner that fosters repeat business.
* Demonstrate positive Contractor Management, including holding subcontractors accountable for their staffing needs, liaising with consultants and suppliers to ensure project delivery is in accordance with contractor requirements, and administering subcontractor progress claims, variations and extensions.
What we're looking for
* Construction/Engineering degree or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience working within the Building Construction industry, with 2 relevant and work‐related references.
* SuperSafe (MBA).
* Work Safely in the Construction Industry (CPCCOHS1001A) – white card.
* Demonstrated construction experience post‐graduation, including the experience in the above‐listed responsibilities.
* General knowledge of major building trades, with skills in basic contract and subcontract document skills.
