The Specialist Breast Clinic is seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team on a permanent part-time basis in Wollongong, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, providing essential administrative support to our medical professionals and ensuring the smooth running of our clinic.
What you'll be doing
1. Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
2. Scheduling and managing patient appointments, including booking, rescheduling, and cancellations
3. Handling patient inquiries and providing information about the clinic's services
4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical histories
5. Assisting with the preparation of patient files and medical documentation
6. Performing general administrative duties, such as answering phones, processing payments, and managing inventory
7. Ensuring the reception area and waiting room are well-organised and maintained
What we're looking for
1. Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry
2. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar healthcare administration role
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, clinicians, and staff
4. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
5. Proficiency in using medical practice management software and office equipment
6. Proficiency in Genie or Gentu software (essential), and experience with Medicare billing systems
7. A friendly, professional, and empathetic demeanour, with a commitment to providing excellent patient care
8. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare processes
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
10. Must have valid Australian work rights
11. Available to work between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (part-time hours to be discussed)
