Asset Officer – Water and Wastewater

About the Role
The Asset Officer – Water and Wastewater will be responsible for provide reliable asset data, information, systems and operational support for the planning and development of Council’s water and wastewater assets. Information and reports shall be provided to support the achievement of business outcomes in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.
Essential Criteria
1. Certificate IV, Diploma or equivalent in computer applications, civil engineering, water and sewerage operations, and/or asset management
2. Demonstrated experience in data capture and data management
3. Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining asset management systems, and geographic information systems
4. Understanding of asset management principals including asset valuations
5. Demonstrated effective and clear verbal and written communication skills, including report writing
6. Demonstrated experience in effective customer service
7. Demonstrated experience in contract management
8. Current NSW Drivers Licence (Class C)
Desirable Criteria
9. Sound experience and high-level proficiency in the use of Council’s computerised systems (including, Conquest, Dataworks, Finance1, Microsoft Office Suite of Software products)
10. Experience using ESRI software products (ArcMap, ArcCatalogue, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS)
11. Local Government Experience in a similar position.
