**The Role**
This position is responsible for playing a key role for providing essential support to the People & Culture team and providing strategic advice on learning and organisational development initiatives in line with our development strategy.
As part of this role the People & Organisational Development Lead will be accountable to design and develop a range of L&OD strategies guided by our Strategic plan, including but not limited to culture and engagement strategies including survey; leadership and management development; performance management, and change management. This role will support and build effective relationships and collaboration skills and will be required to work closely with the broader People & Culture team with the primarily responsible for building, promoting and maintaining a strong learning culture.
Tasks & capabilities
- Identify learning needs in accordance with the organisation's strategic and operational plans
- Assist in identifying and analysing learning and development needs of staff
- Develop a training calendar each year that meets identified staff training needs and conduct regular calendar maintenance
- Manage course development and delivery projects in collaboration with internal employees and external providers
- Ensure that learning and development policies, procedures, forms and templates are developed, reviewed and maintained as per compliance standards
- Maintain and update the learning and development platform through our HRIS
- Contribute to the identification and design tools to automate and streamline processes
- Ensure all staff maintain mandatory qualifications for their role
- Actively participating in staff induction programs
- Encourage and demonstrate the need for continuous professional development, and the value it provides to an organisation
- Develop, implement and monitor the Learning & Development budget
- Support broader People & Culture team on programs such as apprenticeship program
- Update and communicate learning messages and share content with the organisation
- General administrative duties as required
**The Person**
- Strong eLearning design skills and knowledge of eLearning content and development standards (e.g. SCORM)
- Outstanding communication skills including the ability to influence and support change across an organisation, mitigate conflict and make convincing arguments and presentations to communicate key issues
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with ability to communicate complex research/evaluation/statistical findings to non-researchers.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently in a geographically diverse team and organisation.
- Comply with all policies, procedures and practices and all applicable laws and industrial agreements that govern our business and conduct and seek clarification where needed.
Desirable Requirements
- Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAA) or Training and Education (TAE)
- Experience within the not-for-profit sector
- Experience with an LMS (ELMO preferred)
- Experience in a learning, professional development and organisational development or similar role
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Quality and Safeguarding commission worker screening check
- Valid Working with Children's Check
- Current Australian Drivers licence
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination (minimum: two doses plus one booster)
- Requirement to use own smartphone or tablet device for receiving shifts and participant confirmation of attendance
