Finance Officer – Home Care

Lyndoch Living is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Officer to join their Finance Team. This role plays a vital part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations for Home Care Packages, ensuring efficient processing, compliance, and accuracy across all transactions.

About the Role:

* Maintain and update client Home Care Package statements, including income and expenditure transactions.
* Liaise with external agencies such as Services Australia and Medicare to manage funding claims and queries.
* Communicate with clients regarding balances, account matters, and unspent funds, ensuring transparency and compliance.
* Collate and distribute monthly CDC (Consumer Directed Care) statements.
* Process and code supplier invoices for home care services, ensuring alignment with authorisation protocols.
* Reconcile income tested fees, daily care fees, client transactions and monthly ledgers.
* Support the closure of care packages in accordance with government guidelines.
* Assist with external audits and reporting.
* Provide front-of-house finance assistance to clients and visitors at the Corporate Reception area.


Your Skills and Qualifications:

* Previous experience in a finance, accounting or administrative role, preferably in the aged care or community services sector.
* Strong numeracy and data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Confident communicator with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, government bodies and internal stakeholders.
* Familiar with online accounting systems and MS Excel.
* A proactive and organised team player who thrives in a busy environment.
