Senior Operations Manager Job Description
This is a key role within the WA management team responsible for managing the safe, efficient and cost-effective operations of concrete plants in the area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Concrete Area Managers and Production Supervisors to achieve efficient and cost-effective operation at all sites.
* Evaluate product and service quality to ensure it meets customer requirements.
* Engage with plant staff and drivers and provide strong leadership in areas such as health and safety, environment, operations management, cost management and operational improvement.
* Maintain high safety standards through effective people leadership.
* Lead daily operations with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships to achieve desired outcomes.
* Control costs across plant and fleet.
* Demonstrate effective leadership to foster a highly motivated team.
About You:
* Possess credible leadership experience in construction/production/industrial manufacturing fields (ideally concrete or aggregates).
* Hold a tertiary qualification i.e. Engineering or Business Management or related disciplines (preferred).
* Excel as a strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Understand the importance of building relationships within the relevant business and across the wider organisation.
* Demonstrate proficiency in SAP, Excel, Word.
* Show customer focus with ability to cultivate relationships and build strong networks.
* Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
* Able to work well under pressure with high organisational skills.
