The firm seeks a client-focused, commercially minded lawyer to join the Dispute Resolution team in Canberra.RoleLawyer/Associate – Dispute Resolution (3-6 years PAE)This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic disputes and advisory team alongside highly regarded partners across commercial disputes, professional indemnity, succession law, elder law, regulatory and administrative law, and construction-related litigation.ResponsibilitiesHandle a broad variety of matters including commercial and corporate disputes (insolvency, shareholder disputes, negligence claims against professionals).
Manage succession law matters including estate planning and litigation (wills, trusts, elder law disputes, guardianship, financial management orders).
Assist with regulatory and administrative law matters, including investigations, complaints management, and review of government and regulatory decisions.Involve in complex litigation including corporate governance, contractual disputes, and construction and strata-related matters.This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of stakeholders and develop as a well-rounded disputes and advisory lawyer.Qualifications3-6 years PAE in commercial disputes, litigation, or related practice area.Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work proactively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence to liaise directly with clients and other stakeholders.Collaborative approach and enthusiasm to contribute to a supportive team environment.What we offerWe offer the opportunity to work with a solid and established client base, clear pathways for professional growth, and a wide range of employee benefits.
