Ringwood Private Hospital is seeking experienced oncology-trained Registered Nurses to join our Day Therapy Unit, Thompson on a part-time basis working 45 hours per fortnight.Our Day Therapy Unit is seeking a compassionate and skilled registered nurse with experience in oncology/haematology or other highly skilled specialist backgrounds looking to transition into the field of cancer care. As a Chemotherapy Nurse, you will be responsible for the administration of chemotherapy/immunotherapy and supportive treatments, educating patients on self-care and the effective strategies for management of side effects.The successful candidates will have sound clinical skills, an interest in cancer care and enjoy interacting with patients and their families in our Day Therapy Unit. There will also be opportunities to progress to CNS and pathways to ANUM.As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:Provide evidenced based nursing care including a comprehensive assessment of patients receiving chemotherapy/immunotherapy as well as other infusions for conditions such as Crohn's and MS.Liaise with the multi-disciplinary teamEnsure patient and staff safetyDeliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needsAs one of the leading cancer hospitals in Melbourne's outer east, Ringwood Private Hospital provides high quality care for patients from diagnosis, including all aspects of treatments as well as end of life care.
