Psychiatrist Specialist Opportunities
We are seeking a Psychiatrist Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have recent clinical experience in Psychiatry and be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist or through specialist international medical graduate pathways.
* The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement.
* They will be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
* A valid unrestricted driver's license for use in NSW/Australia is required.
Responsibilities
* Deliver contemporary comprehensive specialist psychiatric services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes.
* Provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities, and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines.
* Participate in an on-call roster and respond on site within a reasonable time.
Requirements
* Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Psychiatry at the role delineation of the service.
* Accredited ECT provider or willingness to work towards same for all adult related specialities.

Work Environment
Northern NSW Local Health District covers a large geographic area, spanning from Tweed Heads in the north to Tabulam and Urbenville in the west, and to Nymboida and Grafton in the south.
We provide acute healthcare services in eight hospitals, and four Multi-Purpose Services (MPS) facilities located at Ballina, Byron, Casino, Grafton, Lismore, Maclean, Murwillumbah, and Tweed Heads, and Bonalbo, Kyogle, Nimbin, and Urbenville respectively.
