Join us and you'll be part of a collaborative, skilled team who value and support one another, share a passion for their work, and come together to achieve outstanding results.Here's what you'll be doing:Develop and maintain the sales plan and pipeline for increasing new business for REDARC Defence and Space (RDS).
Actively develop new opportunities, generating qualified leads through networking, outreach, customer meetings and industry events.Identify trends and customer needs, building a sales pipeline for short/medium/long term opportunities in accordance with the strategic plan.Qualify opportunities and develop them in accordance with RDS sales principles for maximum probability of win success.Continually nurture and develop business relationships with all clients and customers providing regularly updated capability.Continually measure and evaluate customer business performance.
Identify and implement improvement where necessary.Provide some technical support and advice to RDS customers.Collaborate with other departments such as Marketing (on promotional campaigns and to develop product documentation) and Product Development (on market needs).
Drive customer is king ethos across the business in line with company values.Manage the sales planning, forecasting and activation process within RDS.Ensure department monthly, quarterly and annual reports are completed.What you will need:Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant field.Demonstrated track record in developing and maintaining strong business relationships.Previous experience working in a similar business development role including managing the full life cycle of the Sales process.Previous experience working in a technical role and / or environment.Ideally, some demonstrated experience working and negotiating Defence contracts to a high level.
'Strategic Thinker' combined with a tactical, hands-on approach to sales, marketing and customer relationship management.Proficient in data analysis, forecasting and budgeting.Australian citizen and able to obtain a minimum NV1 security clearance if required.Some network, knowledge and experience with the Defence industry is preferred.ClearancesAs a Defence employer, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
The requirements for this role include a police clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance.
