Lead ERP Data Analyst (Contract) 12‑month contract + 12‑month extension

A Federal Government organisation is seeking an experienced Lead ERP Data Analyst to play a key, hands‑on role in a major ERP migration and enterprise data uplift program.
This role is focused on the tactical execution of data cleansing, quality assurance, mapping and loading, with a strong emphasis on HR and Financial data. You will work closely with Data Architects, Analysts and business stakeholders to ensure migration‑ready, high‑quality data that meets governance and privacy requirements.
In this role, you will:
* Lead hands‑on data cleansing and remediation activities for an ERP migration
* Profile and analyse large, complex datasets to identify anomalies (duplicates, missing values, outliers)
* Define, document and execute data quality and remediation rules
* Develop and automate data quality checks aligned with business rules
* Perform reconciliation between legacy and target ERP systems
* Prepare dashboards, reports and visualisations to communicate data quality insights
* Support data governance practices and Australian privacy compliance
* Mentor and coach internal data professionals, building sustainable data capability
You will bring:
* Extensive hands‑on experience delivering ERP data migration, ideally across HR and Finance
* Expert‑level experience in data profiling, cleansing and remediation
* Strong SQL skills and experience working with large enterprise datasets
* Experience using commercial data quality and data profiling tools
* Ability to define and execute business rules and data quality checks
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience building dashboards and reports (Power BI and/or Tableau)
* Demonstrated experience mentoring and uplifting data professionals
Highly regarded:
* Experience with ERP platforms such as Aurion, TechnologyOne, Workday, SAP or MS365
* Experience using Aurion Query Tool (AQT) or TechnologyOne Analyser ETL
* Python experience for data analysis or automation
* Experience working with Federal Government HR or financial data
