About the Region
The South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. The region is home to the stunning Bunya Mountains, where you can enjoy spectacular rainforest walks, nights by the fire in hidden chalets and the best scenic views Queensland has to offer. The South Burnett region is renowned for its great wine, gourmet foods and recreational facilities such as Lake Boondooma and Yallakool tourist parks.
About the role
* Based in Kingaroy
* Permanent - Full Time
* $61K - $63K per annum + Allowances + Super
Council is currently seeking Labourers to support a variety of services across maintenance and construction road crews, as well as other departments. These roles involve traffic control duties, with a focus on the safe setup and pack-down of signage and equipment. In addition, responsibilities will also include general labouring tasks such as concreting, drainage work, maintaining sealed and unsealed roads, and supporting parks and facilities operations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in traffic control and labouring, the ability to operate and maintain small plant, and a proven track record of working effectively both in a team environment and independently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with basic literacy and numeracy, are required in this role.
Mandatory Qualifications
* Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver's licence
* General Safety Induction for Construction Worker (White Card)
* Control Traffic with a Stop/Slow Bat or willingness to obtain
* Truck licences (MR/HR), varying plant tickets highly regarded
Desirable Qualifications
* Traffic Management Implementation Card (Qld)
