Project Accountant Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Accountant to assist with the budgeting, accounting, and financial aspects of delivering a major NSW road project. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working in local government and has experience in project accounting.
Job Responsibilities:
* Maintain corporate financial systems, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
* Prepare, review, analyze and report monthly project reforecasts, providing insights into project progress and financial performance.
* Oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring prompt payment to suppliers and contractors.
* Facilitate engagement with key stakeholders, including funding bodies, contractors, Council partners and government agencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant professional tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Finance or Information Technology and/or significant experience in a similar role.
* Experience in Local Government NSW Accounting Practices.
* Demonstrated ability in maintenance of corporate financial systems.
* Comprehensive knowledge of key financial functions and processes.
