About the Position
Balance Mayfield Aquatics Centre provides a variety of Learn to Swim programs tailored to individual needs, ranging from beginner to competition levels. We also offer school swimming programs and group bookings. We are looking for a casual swimming instructor to join our experienced and passionate team.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will demonstrate high energy and passion for teaching, showing leadership while teaching, building strong relationships, role‐modeling and encouraging students to try their best. With a flexible teaching style, the instructor will accommodate students with different learning styles and requirements. Strong communication skills will assist in updating students and parents on progress and in building relationships with schools and other external organisations. The instructor must maintain a Child Safe environment at all times.
Qualifications & Certifications
Required certifications: Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Licence, First Aid, CPR (yearly renewal) and Working with Children Check (WWCC). All candidates will also undergo due‐diligence and probity checks, including a Criminal History Check, reference checks and right‐to‐work verification, facilitated by The Wests Group.
Class Schedule
* Monday – Friday: AM 8 am – 12 pm / PM 2:30 – 6:30 pm
* Saturday & Sunday: AM 8 am – 12 pm
