About the role:
The Port Maintenance team is currently seeking a Maintainer Fitter to join them on a 14/14 days and nights roster based at Port Hedland. Reporting to the Supervisor Mechanical Maintenance, you will be responsible for routine maintenance and rapid response to equipment issues, with the aim being to minimise downtime and improve plant reliability.
Duties:
* Execution of required maintenance tasks relating to all port assets including the rotary car dumper, stackers, reclaimer, conveyors, screen house and ship loader
* Complete daily inspections of Port equipment and report on its condition
* Ensure adequate materials and supplies are available to effectively perform the required tasks
* Complete Maintenance Work Orders electronically via the Roy Hill Computerised Maintenance System (CMMS) SAP
* Provide guidance and training to apprentices, new starters and contractors
Skills and experience:
* Completion of mechanical trade apprenticeship
* Prior experience in the mining and resources industry
* Current WA Drivers Licence, Unrestricted C Class
* Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving capability
