About this role:
* We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced machine operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various steel processing machinery, including CNC production machines and cranes.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the job include:
* Operating CNC production machinery and cranes to process steel products into custom lengths
* Utilizing computer-based production tracking software to ensure production plan is followed and correct product is produced
* Training to operate various steel processing machinery, such as Beamlines, Saws & Robotic plasma cutters
* Assisting with general warehousing duties when machinery is not running to maximum efficiency within the workplace
* Effectively working within a team environment to achieve production KPI's
* Taking ownership of your machines performance including output, downtime, quality & housekeeping
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software systems
* Forklift ticket highly regarded
* Ideal experience in the steel/heavy industry with previous machine or overhead crane operation experience
