Aldebaran Contracting is a civil contracting company with experience as a provider of civil construction services to the NT Government, Local Governments and the private sector throughout the Northern Territory.
We are seeking to employ an experienced boilermaker to undertake maintenance of heavy earthmoving machinery .
The position is located at Manton 60Km south of Darwin. The successful applicant will need to possess the following essential criteria for the position.
* Hold the appropriate trade certificate
* Demonstrated understanding of maintenance / operational requirements of plant and equipment and willingness to undertake minor maintenance activities and replacement of consumables.
* Demonstrated willingness and ability to comply with Workplace Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental legislation and plan requirements.
* Able to follow precise instructions
* Good reading and writing skills, including the ability to fill in forms and documentation
* Good understanding and knowledge of information technology practices, including the ability to use email and mobile phone
* Good communications skills
* Punctual and reliable approach to work hours.
* Current NT HR licence or ability to obtain
* Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
* Willingness and ability to work away from home, in a work camp situation
