Job Description
We are seeking a senior professional to lead the Commercial Transactions group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing competing priorities and delivering projects through commercial or quasi-commercial processes.
The Director, Commercial Transaction will set the strategic direction for the team, aligning with the expectations of senior executives and Government. They will provide authoritative advice to senior leaders, drawing on their policy expertise and commercial acumen.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a highly skilled team in delivering policy development and implementation of commercial and asset reform initiatives.
* Foster a supportive and results-driven environment to guide the team from concept through to delivery.
* Navigate the machinery of Government to achieve successful outcomes.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Exceptional analytic abilities: economics, finance, commercial and related fields, including a strong understanding of government service delivery objectives and priorities.
* Experience in managing competing priorities: under tight deadlines and delivering development of business cases, economic cost benefit analysis, project evaluation and financial reporting.
* Proven track record: taking policy development through to implementation and delivering projects using commercial or quasi-commercial processes.
* Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills: written and verbal, engaging strategically with senior stakeholders both inside and outside of Government.
* Demonstrated leadership skills: driving high performing teams and managing people.
