Position Overview:
The Clinical Lead plays a crucial role in providing support, direction, orientation and education to Clinicians within Virtual Health. This will ensure high quality patient care through evidence-based guidelines and protocols; drive continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory standards.
Job Details:
* Fixed-term, Part-time/Full-Time until 30 June 2026 (Multiple positions)
* We are operational 24/7. Shift times can be flexible between 2-10 hours. Overnight availability is highly desirable (midnight-6:00am)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Virtual Health Clinical Lead is responsible for:
* providing support, direction, orientation and education to Virtual Health Clinicians (Registered Nurses and General Practitioners working across the GP Helpline and Healthdirect/NURSE-ON-CALL helplines).
* being responsible for planning and coordinating services relating to a particular group of clients or patients in the practice setting, as delegated by Virtual Health Clinical Workforce Lead and Virtual Health Clinical Operations Lead.
* acting as a role model in the provision of holistic care to patients or clients in the practice setting; and
* assisting in the management of action research projects and participating in quality assurance programs and policy development within the practice setting.
* delivering direct and comprehensive nursing care and individual case management to patients or clients within the practice setting, this may or may not include a specific group of patients or clients with complex nursing care needs, in a particular area of nursing practice within Virtual Health.
* performing other reasonable Clinical Lead duties as directed by the Clinical Operations Manager.
* displaying and promoting ethical behavior and alignment with Aspen Medical's Social Purpose and B Corp principles.
Selection Criteria:
Essential
* Must be located within Australia.
* Registered nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the healthcare system and maintains an unrestricted registration as a registered nurse with AHPRA
* Demonstrates a contemporary knowledge and experience of Healthdirect Virtual Health Services
* Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
* Commitment to upholding high standards of patient care quality and compliance
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
* Demonstrates the ability to be client focused, responsive, flexible and committed to deliver quality services.
* Demonstrates interest in leadership roles, with an understanding of team management principles.
Desired
* Demonstrates clinical experience and sound knowledge of quality culture and clinical governance methods and reporting commensurate with the role, including compliance assessment and auditing, collation and reporting of trends and Key Performance Indicators, and clinical risk management.
* Previous clinical experience and knowledge of accreditation processes for clinical employees in a healthcare setting with an understanding of clinical information systems such as Riskman.
* Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in clinical program management and healthcare delivery
