About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Nurse Consultant within our Mental Health Hospital in the Home team.
This position offers the unique opportunity to deliver specialist mental health care directly to consumers in their own homes.
In this role, you will provide expert clinical leadership whilst supporting consumers who would traditionally require inpatient care to remain safely in their familiar home environment. This role combines advanced nursing practice with community-based care delivery, making a real difference to mental health outcomes in our region.
Key Responsibilities:
* provide comprehensive mental health assessments and interventions in community settings
* lead multidisciplinary care planning and coordinate services
* mentor and support nursing staff in community mental health practices
* collaborate with families, carers and community partners to optimise recovery outcomes
* maintain detailed clinical documentation and risk management protocols
To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
